My Family
My wife Kathy and I have done our best to raise two kids. My son Sta’s is a pretty typical 14 year old boy, who likes video games, music, and bowling. My daughter Katie is 16. She drives pretty well for a first year licensee, and is active in the high school TV station. Both kids are considered “gifted” by the educational system, so trying to stay ahead of them can be a challenge. The article Foolin’ With Your Kids describes how we do it sometimes.
We keep a few horses – 4 at the moment, but they’re mainly just pets and pleasure horses. Oh, my kids have taken their turns in 4-H, and my daughter was on the high school equestrian team for a while, but neither of them are very competitive (and both are a wee bit lazy), so those outings were mainly just for fun. One of the mares might be pregnant (“in foal,” as we say). If so, I’ll likely be writing and posting pictures as things develop.
Kathy sells real estate, and doing OK in light of the economic climate in Michigan these days. Anyone wanting to buy or sell a house in mid-Michigan would be wise to check out her web site.
